Back in 1969 there were rumors that Paul mccartney of the Beatles had died, and that the Beatles had put clues that he died in their records. One of the most famous instances of backmasking, here it is. it is played forwards than backwards. Try to listen first and try to figure out the message, if you can't, read what it is. this will bring you to a great paul is dead website, click on backwards masking, and listen to various http://www.paulisdead.co.uk songs. please enjoy. |

There is definitely something very weird about that! I had no idea, never heard of anything like it but the amount of clues and back masks is phenomenal. Thanks for this, Been reading for about 3 hours straight |

I got REALLY into the Paul is dead stuff about 20 years ago, just about the same time I got really into all of Wilson Bryan Key's books! I was totally obsessed, and convinced at the time that Key was the victim of a suspiciuos government cover-up. He certainly opened my eyes to the concept of subliminal messages, and blatant sexual imagery in advertising. I spent hours in college going through the "stacks" and hunting down the old Life magazines for the original ads. And I found a bunch! I still have some. The subs were real! Clear as day.
But... Key was also a bit of a crackpot, and most certainly not the victim of any conspiracy.
Anyhoo, I've really been enjoying looking at this site, but mostly for nostalgia's sake.
The linked site posits two possibilities: all of the Paul is dead imagery is a bizarre coincidence, or else Paul was dead!!!
Well, isn't there a third, blatantly obvious theory? That the Beatles did all of this stuff on purpose, not because Paul was dead, but because it was fun to mess with people? To entertain their fans? Get them buzzing? I mean, it's really entertaining! And the Beatles were entertainers. |
